MEKINA KIRAY VEHICLE RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS HIGHLIGHT INFORMATION
This Agreement shall take effect starting April 11, 2021.
Chapter 1 ‒ General Provisions
Article 1: Application of Agreement
1. MEKINA KIRAY. (Hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) shall rent out a vehicle (hereinafter referred to as “Rental vehicle”) to the Renter, and the Renter shall rent the Rental vehicle from the Company, all in accordance with the provisions in this Agreement. Matters not provided for in this Agreement shall be governed by relevant laws and regulations, and common practice in Ethiopia.
2. The Company may make special provisions as long as they do not violate the purport of this Agreement, laws and regulations, administrative issuances, and common practice. If a special provision is made, such provision shall take precedence over this Agreement.
3. If the Renter has designated another Driver then the Renter shall ensure that the other Driver understands and complies with the provisions of this Agreement that concern the Driver.
Chapter 2 – Reservations, liability and responsibility
Article 2: Making a Reservation
1. Having consented to this Agreement, the separately prescribed price list, and other terms and conditions, the Renter may make a reservation, in accordance with the method separately provided by the Company, clearly specifying in advance the model or vehicle class, rental start date and time, rental location, rental period, return location, the name of the driver, requests for accessories such as toddler seats, and any other rental conditions (hereinafter referred to as “Rental Conditions”).
2. When the Renter has made a reservation, the Company shall offer the Rental vehicles for rent in its possession and Contracts and agreements will be valid consequent to Mekina Kiray confirmation of the booking signing a contractual agreement/form. If the reservation made 30 days before departure the company can accept free booking reservation but if the reservation request less than 30 days at the time of confirmation, a deposit of 50% of the total payment is requested. The remaining amount of the total payment shall be paid upon arrival before the tour commences. Unless prior arrangements have been made, Mekina Kiray cannot be forced to conduct the tour if complete payment has not been received.
Article 3: Liability and Responsibility
Only the laws of Ethiopia govern Mekina Kiray liability to its clients and all claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the court of Ethiopia in which the cause of action arises. Although every possible care is taken to safeguard you and your property, Mekina Kiray accepts no liability for loss or damage of any personal effects. Mekina Kiray will dispose its best efforts to assist renters when dealing with any third parties.
Article 4: Quotations
Mekina Kiray provides rental prices (quotations) online and on request. After the contractual agreement is concluded the final quoted price is non-negotiable. Mekina Kiray offers prices with validity date & has a full right in revising the offered prices which are not confirmed within the time frame/validity date.
Article 5: Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of confirmed booking must be made in writing via email. If cancellation received 30 days prior to departure and change departure date will be free of charge. If the cancellation received 20 days prior before the commencement of the travel 20% of the total rate of the travel will be charged. If the cancellations received 15 days prior before departure 30% of the total rate of the travel will be applied. If the cancellations received 24hr before the departure 40% of the total rate of the travel will be fully charged. If the cancellation received after 24hr prior to departure will result in relinquishment of the entire payment.
